Tutorial on Setting Up Auto-Download for Generated Images

Once auto-download is enabled, when TheMiniTech completes AI image generation, it will attempt to save the result directly to your computer without requiring you to click the download button again.. To minimize "Save As" pop-ups or automatic download blocks, we recommend configuring your browser's download settings first..

Please Note Before Starting

  • Browsers may block automatic downloads based on security policies.. Completing these settings will reduce confirmation prompts, but complete silence cannot be guaranteed in all situations..
  • Only grant continuous download permissions to websites you trust.. This article only recommends setting https://theminitech.net Add to allowlist.
  • If you only generate one image at a time, you usually just need to turn off "Ask where to save each file before downloading"; allowing the site to automatically download multiple files is only necessary when generating multiple images consecutively..

Select your browser

Tip: The browser settings URLs below need to be copied or manually entered into your browser's address bar; they cannot be opened directly as normal web links.. Option names may vary slightly across different versions.

Google Chrome (Recommended)

For Windows and macOS.

Step 1: Turn off download location confirmation

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. In the address bar, type chrome://settings/downloads, then press Enter.
  3. Find "Ask where to save each file before downloading".
  4. Turn off this option.
  5. Confirm that the download location at the top of the page is the folder where you want to save the images.

Once completed, Chrome will usually save files directly to the designated folder without showing the "Save As" dialog.

Step 2: Allow the website to automatically download multiple files

  1. Enter in the Chrome address bar chrome://settings/content/automaticDownloads.
  2. Locate the "Automatic downloads" setting.
  3. If the page provides a website permissions list, add https://theminitech.net to the list of sites allowed to automatically download.
  4. If TheMiniTech is already on the blocked list, please remove it or change it to allowed.
  5. Some versions require you to first select "Sites can ask to automatically download multiple files", then allow TheMiniTech according to the browser prompt.

After completing the setup, return to TheMiniTech and enable "Automatically download after generation" to test. For more information, please refer to Google Chrome Official Help.

Microsoft Edge Browser

For Windows and macOS.

Step 1: Turn off download confirmation

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Type in the address bar edge://settings/downloads.
  3. Find "Ask me what to do with each download".
  4. Turn off this option.
  5. Confirm the download folder location is correct.

This reduces instances where Edge prompts to open, save, or save as for every download.

Step 2: Allow automatic downloads of multiple files

  1. Enter in the Edge address bar edge://settings/content/automaticDownloads.
  2. Check "Automatic downloads" permissions.
  3. If TheMiniTech is blocked from automatically downloading multiple files, change it to allow.
  4. If a permission prompt appears during the first series of downloads, confirm the site address is correct and select Allow.

To confirm the default download location, please refer to Microsoft Edge Official Help.

Safari Browser (Mac)

Step 1: Allow TheMiniTech to download files

  1. Open Safari and visit https://theminitech.net.
  2. Click "Safari" in the top left corner of your Mac screen → "Settings".
  3. Go to the "Websites" tab.
  4. Select "Downloads" on the left.
  5. Find theminitech.net, change the permission to "Allow".

Step 2: Set the default download location

  1. Open Safari → Settings → General.
  2. Find "File download location".
  3. Select the "Downloads" folder or another specific folder.
  4. Do not select "Ask for each download".

Once set, Safari will usually save images directly to the specified folder. Refer to the official Apple documentation:Manage website settings, Download items from the web.

Firefox Browser

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Enter in the address bar about:preferences.
  3. Find the download settings in the "Files and Applications" section.
  4. Select "Save files to" and specify the download folder.
  5. Do not select "Always ask you where to save files".

If the browser still asks you to confirm file actions, check the file type handling rules under "Applications" and set the relevant image types to "Save File" instead of "Always ask". For more information, please refer to Mozilla Firefox Official Support.

How to use automatic downloads after completing setup?

  1. Return to TheMiniTech and open the AI image generation tool you want to use.
  2. Enable "Automatically download upon generation completion".
  3. Upload images or enter content to generate.
  4. Click "Generate".
  5. Once the image is generated successfully, the website will attempt to automatically download the result; the generated result will also be displayed normally on the webpage.

Where are downloaded images saved??

Generally, images are saved to your browser's default download folder:

  • Windows:Open "File Explorer" → "Downloads".
  • macOS:Open "Finder" → "Downloads".

What if the automatic download doesn't start??

  • Check near the address bar for download block or permission prompts.
  • Ensure that your browser has not added TheMiniTech to the automatic download blocklist.
  • When generating multiple images continuously, confirm that you have allowed the site to automatically download multiple files.
  • Confirm that the default download folder still exists and that the browser has permission to write to that location.
  • Refresh the page and generate a single image first to test whether single automatic downloads work properly.
  • If automatic downloads still fail, please use the "Download" button on the generated result to save it manually.

About Single Downloads and Continuous Downloads

If you only generate one image at a time, you usually just need to turn off "Ask where to save each file before downloading" in your browser. The browser may require additional permission for the site to download multiple files only when generating and automatically saving multiple images continuously. It is recommended to enable permissions as needed and keep manual downloads on the webpage as a backup method.
